Student Testimonial

New Beginnings is an amazing school.

There are so many good things I could say about it. The staff members are all very caring men and women of God, and I love every single one of them. I love the chapel services and having the devotions every morning. I have learned so much from this school, not just academically, but also spiritually.

I came to New Beginnings several years ago, and was not in a very good place spiritually. I had never really had an experience with the Holy Spirit and honestly was not even saved. The first few chapel services "puzzled" me, because I did not understand what was really going on. for the first couple years of my attendance here, there had been plenty of alter calls but I hardened my heart and was not ready to change.

As the years passed, I began to take reading the Bible and studying it more seriously. I began to learn what the Lord had to say to me, and recognized my need for Him. Finally, after a few years of "pretending", I got saved on March 18, 2011 and was baptized some odd number of weeks later. (I can not remember the date.)

I would have never had the experiences I have had with the Lord if I had gone to some public school.I am so thankful to the staff and to the Lord for not giving up on me. I plan on continuing my walk with God even after I have gone from here. I have been equipped, and are still being equipped, to be the man of God He has called me to be, thanks to this school.

Our entire staff here at New Beginnings welcomes the opportunity of working with you and your children.  We are truly thankful that God has blessed us with such a powerful and life changing ministry as that which comes to us through our Academy.  I cannot stress to you enough the importance we place on this school as an outreach ministry of our church.  In the tenth chapter of Mark we find a compelling story of Christ's ministry to children and I have taken it to heart.

"One day some parents brought their children to Jesus, so he could touch and bless them.  But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him.  When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples.  He said to them, 'Let the children come to me.  Don't stop them!  For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.  I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.'  Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them."
- Mark 10:13-16

Our vision for NBCA is to minister to every area of need presented by the children in our care;  Spiritual, academic and physical.  In Jeremiah 29:11 the Bible tells us that God knows us individually and that He has designed us for a purpose.  It is our desire to help our students "tune in" to God's guidance and begin to walk in His plan for their lives.

Our Doctrine of Faith at New Beginnings Christian Center is in accordance with the guidelines laid down by our parent organization, the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.  You can find and read it online, and we encourage you to please do so.  Every person involved in this ministry, whether faculty, staff, volunteers, or parents, should clearly understand our beliefs and the sort of care which the children here will be experiencing.  One thing that you can definitely be sure of is this: We will care for each child in our Academy the same way we would want our own children to be cared for, and will do our very best, with God's help, to "train them up in the way that they should go so that when they are old they will not depart from it."  (Proverbs 22:6)

Thank you all for your prayerful support and your partnership in this ministry.

New Beginnings Christian Academy, formerly known as Family Christian Academy, was established in 1995 upon a firm foundation of Biblical principles and a commitment to excellence.  We believe that every parent wants his or her child to have a quality education and that this education should be saturated in solid Christian principles.  We here at New Beginnings are committed to offering you the best possible environment and opportunities to satisfy your child's educational needs.

It is our goal to provide each student with an excellent education that will equip them with the skills necessary for success in the working world as well as in their everyday lives.  We are a Christian school and as such we emphasize living and working according to Biblical principles.  The Bible tells us that God has a plan for each of our lives - one with a hope and a future.  It is our desire to help all of our students discover the plan that God has for them and to guide them in making the choices that will lead them to the fulfillment of that purpose.

We sincerely hope that you will let us partner with you as we strive daily for excellence in our ministry of educating those students whom God has entrusted to our care.

Sincerely,
Dr. Empress J. Vick
